Founded in 2008 the Utah Civil Justice League is your advocate for reducing excessive and abusive litigation that increases business and government expenses, discourages innovation, and drives up the cost of goods for all Utahns. We are dedicated exclusively to tort and liability reform through education of policy makers and enactment of legislation.
OBJECTIVES
- Push a pro-business, pro tort reform legislative agenda
- Evaluate Appellate court decisions and dessiminate that information to the business community
- Organize the business community to file amicus briefs on important business related issues
- Support candidates who believe in tort reform and support the protection of business from abusive torts
- Free state courts from needless litigation
- Lower the costs of defending against abusive lawsuits
- Keep Utah's economy strong and vibrant
